Really cool topic you brought up. I am in consensus to what your trying to delineate and express, with all the emotional stress and setbacks your facing in your life. what you have to understand is that there is a difference, if not a sublte contrast between living your life and saying you do.

From the way i see it, your ranting about what could have, shoulkd have and would have been. Life is never fair and i have fought raging rivers of self-degradation and pity trying to live with that. it is not easy going through what your facing now, but do not fall into the same slippery slope argument or ideology (aptly termed) like what all young, immatured individuals do all the time.

Live your life like you want it to be and no one will fault you for that, but do not let your emotional downpour dampen every proper perspective you once had to men and their attitude. Hear yourself speak, you mentioned so many airy-fairy beliefs and changes in society on humanism and personalites, honestly, do you ever think it will occur? All of us are caught up in our fancy little dream world, and you are no exception, you have your thoughts and say only in YOUR life, do not expect others to see the way you do, much less love you for everything you are.

I agree that once in a while we fall, but after the pain and shock, we get back up and move on. do what you keep doing now, and however intellectual you may try to portray yourself will end up nothing but in vain.

Talk is ultimately still talk, everyone can do that, and ranting is even easier given the mental acumen one is in is one of Angst and pain. i am not being denigrating or mollifying any of your ideas, i just thought you should know, i felt the same way before.

it came to me that in life, talk is talk and nothing more than empty, verbal recounts and hoity-toity collections of what could have, should have and would have. move on and stop trying to sound impressive because all the crap in the world did not give you or me the success we have today. i run a business, going for a double degree, play many sports and scrabble for my passion, and like you, it did not come easy. You, like me, of all people, should know that!

Interesting enuff to have ur view about things. Agreed that men also do talk about other ppl at their back, of coz mostly the bad things, but sometimes a good things also. but i think we “men” are not at the par with the woman at it.. even tho there are some excellent speaker at it, most of them just lacking skills and efford to capture the interest of the listener.

I myself most of the time lost interest and my mind wondered elsewhere when listening to even a woman speaker talking about the subject. and most of the time, will become an opposition to counter the speaker, which will make it more interesting discussion. The prob with woman tho is that they cant take counter points very well, which is bad for men especially when the woman is his gf and be labeled as unsupportive.. haiz.. (personal experience)

I think the prob with ppl is “self pride” which is naturally exist in almost everyone, its not a totally bad things to a certain extend, but being humble is a wiser choice. And so i have becomes so many times as a middle man between 2 parties who dont talk to each other but like to talk about each other. How the time has change from 3 way talk to 2 x 2 talk. and if heat up high enuff it’s becomes 2 way or even no way. I’m not sure wheather u understand wat i’m talking about.. forgive me for that.. i remain as a bad peacemaker(not that i choose to be).

Back to the topic, i sense that u have much dislike for ppl who talk bad about u behind ur back and i bet they wont like it either if u talk bad about them behind their back even anonymously.
